Dear Parents,
As you will no doubt be aware, there is a significant rain event occurring throughout the region and importantly in the upper reaches of our catchment area.
We have received information from the State Emergency Services that there is a ‘70% chance of flooding developing in the Upper Nepean River possibly resulting in the closure of the Windsor and North Richmond bridges at some stage on Thursday’.
To this end, and after significant discussion with the Executive, a decision has been made to ask parents who live in the flood plain and in particular on the western side of the Hawkesbury River to keep their children at home for the next two days.
We are mindful of the implications with respect to child minding but of paramount importance is the safety of your children and staff in our care.
The College will be open for all other students and programs will continue as normal.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Gareth Leechman
Headmaster
